 Jeff wrote and published this picture book in 2018, and designed it as a companion piece to his 2000 book Yellowstone Winterscapes. Yellowstone Snowscapes is sized and formatted the same as Yellowstone Winterscapes, and similarly includes 99 of Jeff's superb photographs of Yellowstone in winter - the chief difference between the two books is that most of the photos in Snowscapes were shot more recently in Jeff's 40 plus year career in the park.
As with Yellowstone Winterscapes, the 99 photographs in Yellowstone Snowscapes are paired with detailed captions bases on Yellowstone's geology, Jeff's passionate interest in the park's wildlife, and especially based on Jeff's deep interest in Yellowstone's history, both natural and cultural. As with all of Jeff's books, Yellowstone Snowscapes has received overwhelmingly positive reviews.
The photos in Yellowstone Snowscapes are reflective of Jeff's interests, and include shots of Yellowstone's iconic animals in winter, as well as the park's famous geysers and other thermal features. There are also shots of some of the park's historic hotels and other structures, along with a variety of winter activities such as cross country skiing and snowmobiling, and of course much more."
