Yellowstone Winterscapes
This book is a small format (6"x9") of 99 color photographs of Yellowstone in its winter beauty. The photos span a variety of subjects, including all of Yellowstone's well known mammals in their wintry habitat. There are also pictures of the park's famous geysers and other thermal features, artful shots of people engaged in cross country skiing and other winter activities in the park, park landmarks and other beautiful scenes of Yellowstone in winter. Most of the photos were shot in the ephemerally colorful light of sunrise or sunset, and all the photos are accompanied by detailed captions that provide a wealth of interpretive information.
