Hi Jeff, Nice interview with Wendy on Cowboy State daily. We watch her news everyday, and you arrived just one May77 before me. I was supposed to stay at Lake Hotel my first summer of 78, and had a room on the second floor facing the lake as the ice was cracking, but after getting the Hotel Gift shop rolling they had more plans for me in the park that year and for the next 6 as Gifts Director, when we met you also living in Gardiner. Ended up meeting love of my life that summer and now married over 45 years. We have a place in Cody that we spend a lot of our time when away from Colorado. We did come out for the 150th anniversary of the park and rode in a coach with Lee Whitlesey who happened to be riding shotgun in the touring car. Yellowstone never leaves your heart once your are there. Good to see you made the "People you should know in Yellowstone" book too. How could you not?! We were just back again last month and Gardiner is pretty different. We had to settle for a great buffalo burger at the old HELENS, in leiu of the greaiest burger and best onion rings in the days of old. That was about all that remained. Some great softball games at Gardiner H.S. as well. Our old government house at the fence in Gardiner we later learned next to personel building was designed by Robert Reamer along with his work on the RR station.
Cheers , Dave and Sheryl Wagner.

Jeff were you a snowmobile driver Winter 1981? I worked at Snow Lodge Winter 1981. I took a tumble while coming down Fairy Falls and ripped my knee apart. That winter a group of wonderful coach drivers allowed me to stay in their apartment while I was rehabbing at the hospital. I am from AL and most of the divers in the apt were from GA. I just wanted you, Joel, and the others and the to know how much I appreciated your generosity during that winter. I am jealous you have been able to remain out west all these years !
