According to the penned-in date I wrote on the cardboard slide mount of the photograph, I shot this picture of the Old Faithful Inn early in the day on December 19, 2006. A further recollection is that the temperature was about 30 below zero that morning, and that memory is borne out by official weather records at Old Faithful which show the temperature bottomed out that day at 29 below zero.

Jeff Henry has spent his entire adult life in and around Yellowstone National Park. Jeff's love of Yellowstone in particular and of the American West in general led him to take a variety of jobs in the park as a way to stay in the place that he loves.
Introduction
Jeff began shooting professional quality photographs in 1982, and for 30 years made his living as a stock photographer. In that role he provided photographs for book publishers, postcard and poster companies, and for virtually every environmental and news magazine. Jeff wrote his first book in 1989, and currently has a library of over 250,000 photos of Yellowstone and the surrounding area.
